Meggie talks The Mayhem: Roan’s Story.
Chicagoland entertainment icon Phil Potempa showcased The Mayhem: Roan’s Story in his Sunday entertainment column in The Times, Indiana’s second-largest newspaper. Read it here.

Meggie chats about writing.
Making time to write–and optimizing that time. Australian romance writer Rachael Johns graciously enabled me to discuss time management and optimization at her blog here.

Passion, pizza, and girl talk.
Fellow Hoosier Jen Tucker, one of the funniest people I know, honored me by interviewing me on her blog here.

Back home again.
Because my new book takes place in Crown Point, I’m pleased to be featured at crownpointcommunity.com. Read about the Hoosier revolution here.

Getting to know you.
“Griffith author to sign books.” Senior Life [Cincinnati] August 2012: 24.

Everything writers need to know: misconceptions about the craft.
I clear up your fears and worries on the front page of The Chronicle. Check it out here.

Let’s get it started.
Because of my extensive connections to Valparaiso, I’ve grateful these guys publicized my talk about how to get published to the town’s readers at Valparaiso Library.

Thanks to DJ Tavis Buchan and Lakeshore Public Radio, 89.1, FM for featuring me on drive-time radio! Click above to listen. It's a spicy meatball!

Why I’m proud to be a ten-year subscriber.
The Times, the state’s second-largest newspaper is one of the best cheerleaders for the arts in Northwest Indiana. They very graciously supported me on their website here.

Finding time to write.
When I speak to prospective writers, they often say they’ll write someday, when they have time. But I’d argue the time is always now. I make my case here, on the Indiana Writers’ Consortium official blog.

A Humorous Guide to Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse
What to do, if you’re human and Hubby’s a zombie? Practice a hilarious quip for when Hubby grunts and snorts during the Thanksgiving meal, of course! I contribute other sage advice in Shore magazine’s guide to surviving the zombie apocalypse, which you can view here.

Especially cool…
Considering I got my start writing for this newspaper. Julie Rosenbaum-Engelhardt graciously interviewed me in “Evansville native nominated for best fiction awards,” published in The Evansville Courier on Dec. 30, 2012. The article even includes my high-school senior photo.

Shout out to the moms…
Thanks to Nichole Odijk DeMario for the lovely article “local mom gets published” in the Jan. 2013 Mom to Momnwi magazine. Check out p. 6, and you’ll see my fave hottie!

Love Evansville Living
I love how the writers of “Shelf Life” really conveyed the passion behind Roan’s Story on p. 38 of the January-February 2013 issue of Evansville Living magazine. Incidentally, Evansville Living has the most gorgeous photos of homes. As the most northern of Southern cities, Evansville has some of the most beautiful houses in the country.

What’s your big idea?
Kevin Bradley entertains thousands every week by discussing the big ideas of others, and he was gracious enough to give me a turn this week. Check out his column here.

Radio show guest spot
Thanks to hilarious DJ Shaun Parent for letting me and fellow writer Neal Litherland be the local artist spotlight at WVLP, 98.7 FM, in Valparaiso on March 17, 2013. They even let me play one of my favorite songs on air–that is, Silversun Pickups’ “The Pit.”

Returning to college–if only for the night.
Fellow author Neal Litherland and I dispelled publishing myths for a creative writing group at Valparaiso University on March 21. It was an honor to be featured in what is officially Indiana’s best student newspaper at http://www.valpotorch.com/news/article_3d421b0e-9312-11e2-b593-001a4bcf6878.html.
